RETAINING WALLS.

Block, boulder, or natural stone — engineered for WNY frost, drained so it never bows, and level enough to set a beer on. Most walls built in 2–5 days.

Retaining walls
EVERY WALL INCLUDES

Compacted gravel base below frost depth — the part you never see and always feel.

Drainage behind the wall — perforated pipe and stone, so water never pushes it over.

Geogrid on walls over 4 ft and an engineer's sign-off where the town wants one.

Cleanup and haul-away — spoils gone, lawn raked, driveway swept.

WALL QUESTIONS
How much does a retaining wall cost?

Most residential walls land between $40–$90 per square face foot depending on height, material, and access. We quote the exact number after a free site visit — full itemized breakdown before we dig.

Do I need a permit?

Usually only above 4 ft. We handle the paperwork and the engineer's stamp when the town requires it.

Will it survive the freeze-thaw?

That's the whole job. Base below frost depth, drainage behind the wall, and geogrid where the load calls for it. Walls we built in year one are still level.
